B Block, DLF Phase 1 House | Area - 500 Sq. Yds. | Gurgaon, India, Ongoing
Located in Gurugram, this project is a boutique house development designed for an interior designer takes its design language in sculptural form. Its signature curved architectural features rise up out of the building and reach for the sky. The intent of this bespoke building is to redefine the genre by taking inspiration from Le Corbusier’s 1954 chapel Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp, France, for its combination of organic mass, distinctive form and diversity of space. The resulting building has a sense of openness – the quality of an embrace in its engagement with the streetscape. The journey to the apartments is a sequential passage through a landscaped garden arbour to a double height sculptural foyer of DGU glass, stone and concrete. Special care has been taken of the cooling system within the residence in the form of VRV Air Conditioning for centralized cooling. Adept with Double heighted entrance doors & a terrace garden along with a swimming pool, this residence exemplifies grandeur.
